Job Title/Role: Solutions Engineer
Time at TG: 7 months (3 part-time, 4 full-time)
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Whitefish Bay - Home of the iconic cultural cornerstones like Jack Pandl’s Inn, Fox Bay Cinema, and Starbucks.
Q: What career path did you choose for yourself as a child?
A: As an intrepid youth, I aspired to one day grow up to be adventurous like my mom in the wild world of IT infrastructure sales.
Q: What's your favorite TV show?
A: I’m a big fan of comedies like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Broad City, and Trailer Park Boys. Not sure any of them are quite as satiating as the last few seasons of GoT, though.
Q: Where is your favorite vacation spot?
A: I’m more of a hike/bike/ski kinda guy, as opposed to lounging on the beach… I think my favorite places I’ve been would either be Yosemite or the Canyonlands National Parks.
Q: Is there anything on your bucket list??
A: I would like to finally learn how to fold a fitted sheet. Also, skiing in the Alps would be pretty cool.
Q: Share one thing you want people to remember most about you.
A: Memories of me kicking your butt in Settlers of Catan and/or Super Smash Bros. (N64)
Q: What do you love best about your job?
A: The projects that I’ve been able to work on so far have been great - challenging, but not overwhelming. I really like being surrounded by a team that values continued improvement, like we have here at TG.
Q: What has been your best experience at TG so far?
A: Within the first week of working here, I was invited to come to Summerfest with the company and had a great time. I especially liked watching Alejandro’s dance moves while watching a Michael Jackson tribute band.
Q: What technologies have you worked with or enjoyed working with?
A: I’ve learned a ton about React and Redux from people like Kara and Rosa, and I am looking forward to polishing my familiarity with a couple cutting-edge technologies that Tyler and I are using on a project, including Apollo and Prisma.
